The Cattle Car Experience
Skidaway Community Church will host “The Cattle Car Experience” on January 6-8. The exhibit, sponsored by the national group Hate Ends Now, is a replica of a cattle car used by the Nazi Regime to transport Jews and other “undesirable” groups to concentration camps and labor centers.
The exhibit, meant to raise awareness of past history of man’s inhumanity to man, will be on the grounds of the church that weekend with a program beginning on January 8 from 11 am to 4:00 pm including two docents and a 25-minute audio visual program to explain the history of the cattle cars.
In deference to the Jewish Sabbath, the program will be only on Sunday, Jan. 8, with 25 people allowed in at one time. The exhibit is free.
