eVotional – NOV 22 2022

Dear Friends,

One year ago this week, my family moved to Savannah as I prepared for service as your next pastor. We arrived excited to join you in ministry, and were grateful to quickly feel a sense of belonging at SCC. From the beginning, your gracious hospitality reminded us that we are in this ministry together. We are each called to important ministries. God is with us and our community.

As individuals, it is meaningful to give thanks for our own, personal blessings. In community, though, we recognize that those blessings are amplified. In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul writes, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.”

This week, we pray for the flourishing of each member of the body of Christ known as Skidaway Community Church. For those who are filled with gratitude, we give thanks. And for those who cannot find the strength to pray for themselves, may you be encouraged by the knowledge that we are praying for you.

With gratitude for you this Thanksgiving and always,

Jon
