Dear Friends,
Our congregation is currently enjoying a season of renewal and transformation, highlighted by a flurry of new activities. Last Thursday, we began a new book group with an initial focus on Bob Goff’s Love Does. Last night, we welcomed our first game night. Next week, we open our doors to Vacation Bible School campers. Then, in July, we seek to deepen our connection with the PinPoint community through a shared Bible study with Sweetfield of Eden.
These programs have come to fruition through a focus on our shared vision. We recognized those areas where the church could be strengthened, and we were intentional about improving our witness to and impact among the greater community. Such is the work of the Spirit in our midst.
Today, I invite you to consider how God’s Spirit is moving in your life and in the life of our congregation. Then, I invite you to pray with me: Dear God, You are the Shepherd. We are the sheep. Yet, we do not wander aimlessly. Instead, we are following as you lead us, asking not that our will but yours be done. Strengthen our church family and help us to spread the good news of Jesus to our neighbors. We pray these things with enthusiasm and with appreciation for all that you have given to us. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.Â
