As an old year ends and a new one begins, tradition reminds us this is the time to take stock of good intentions gone astray and commit to fresh initiatives. Coming on the heels of year-end festivities, these promises, called New Year’s Resolutions, frequently focus on improving health and well-being.Â
Residents of Skidaway Island and neighboring communities  who are focused on improving health and well-being are especially lucky in 2026.  Here’s a local New Year’s Resolution you’ll want to keep: a Win-Win for you, family members, friends, neighbors, community and more.Â
Starting February 12, bi-monthly ON-ISLAND lifesaving CPR training accredited by the American Red Cross and the Health and Safety Institute is being offered locally at Skidaway Community Church, 50 Diamond Causeway. Instructed by Jess and Terry Micourt, owners of Limitless Training, LLC., participants without prior medical training learn how to save lives and prepare for emergencies with First Aid, SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest) and AED (Automated External Defibrillators) training, all vital adult and pediatric interventions.
Already a trusted name among Skidaway Island residents and area neighbors, Limitless Training currently provides CPR instruction to employees of The Landings Club and Skidaway Island Preschool teachers.Â
According to medical experts at the American Red Cross, the chance of survival while waiting for emergency services during a cardiac emergency decreases by 10% per minute without CPR.  Knowing and initiating emergency CPR is literally a lifesaving gift.Â
ON-ISLAND CPR classes are available for individuals, groups, businesses, parents, grandparents, babysitters and others. Find ON-ISLAND information about types of classes, schedules, instructors, registration and fees at the link below. Register today to make lifesaving CPR a New Year’s Resolution you’ll want to keep.  It’s a WIN-WIN gift for you, loved ones, friends, neighbors, and the communities we share.
